Type-locality of the holotype of Barilius salmolucius: 'Stanleyville' (Ref. 41594). Known from main channel and tributaries of the northern hemisphere of the Middle Congo basin (Ref. 122357), including Ubangi River basin (Ref. 41594, 122357), Aruwimi River (Ref. 41594, 45434, 106290, 122357), Itimbiri River (Ref. 41590, 106290, 122357), Lindi-Tshopo basin (Ref. 42480, 106290, 122357) and Wagenia Falls (Ref. 106245, 122357). Also reported from Lomami and Lualaba (Ref. 45434). Reports from Lower Congo (Ref. 57537) and Kasai River basin (Ref. 41591) refer to Raiamas brachyrhabdotos (Ref. 122357). Reports from Rusizi River (Ref. 36901) refer to Raiamas marqueti (Ref. 122357). Reports from the Upper Lualaba (Ref. 45434) are misidentifications for Opsaridium leleupi (Ref. 122357). |
